Repairing Torn Photos

Morgan Wedding 1

This torn photo was brought to me to repair.  After scanning the image on a flatbed scanner, I went to work with the CLONE tool in Photoshop 4.0 LE. The CLONE tool takes pixels from one area in the photo and moves them to another.

It was a simple matter to take pixels from "untorn" areas of the floor and walls and move them to cover the torn areas..

Other areas were more complicated and required more time and skill.  The head, clothing, and lace required a much finer BRUSH size (still using the CLONE tool) to repair the clothes, the lacy material, and the torn ear and hair.
