COMBINING IMAGES

A nicely decorated Halloween bench caught my eye, but it was occupied. I just wqanted a photo of the bench so I came back later when I was ready to leave but the woman was still there. I didn't want to ask her to move so I asked if I could take some pictures.

She chatted happily away as I took her picture. I came back a couple of weeks later to do a portrait of a small boy on the decorated the bench but the bench was occupied and the decorations were gone.I photographed him on a different bench with the plan of using Photoshop to put him in the first bench photo.

I used the CLONE tool in Photoshop to remove the womanfrom the first bench photo. In this photo she has been partially removed.

This is the photo of the boy. I turned him into a Selection in Photoshop, lifted him from this photo and used the Move tool to move him to the photo of the bench. He was resized to match the background and dropped into place. Some final retouching was done with the CLONE tool.

The final composite image.
